Update – 2020-06-22
Well it is the end of June and we are fully operational with social distancing, hand sanitizer and disinfecting protocols in place! Provincial and National Parks are open/reopening and while non-essential interprovincial travel is still not recommended there are heaps of spots here in our backyard that are well worth discovering. This is an awesome opportunity to get out and discover Alberta and support our local businesses!

Update 2020-05-09
Guys! Some good news was received recently! Alberta parks is hoping to have public washrooms and facilities available when the campgrounds open to Albertans in June – which means our campervans can get out adventuring soon!! In celebration we have removed our short rental fee (previously for rentals less than 7 days) for the 2020 season – so if you have been wondering about giving one of our vans or rooftop tent rentals a try and the great outdoors is calling you – now would be a great time to go. That said – there are still social distancing rules that we will all need to be following to ensure everyone’s safety while adventuring.
North Campervans will be looking to do the following to ensure we are doing our best to keep everyone safe.
- All van equipment (kitchen and bedding sets included) and common touch surfaces will be sanitized according to guidelines provided by Alberta Health. As always, customers are welcome to provide their own bedding and kitchenware instead of utilizing ours.
- For pickup and return of the vans we will be providing links via email for paperwork and van orientations to be completed beforehand to minimize physical interaction. Hand sanitizer will also be available on site.
Our customers will be asked to do the following:
- Minimize contact in the smaller communities. ie. Grab groceries from the store you normally would get them from if you’re from Calgary.
- When heading out to different hikes or scenic locations – go with a couple of options in mind just in case the first one or two you get to are too busy. Social distancing is still to be practiced so we ask that you do your part and if there are too many cars at a trailhead or scenic spot – that you try for another spot. Getting an early start can also assist with ensuring you’re not adding to a crowd.
