Insurance Packages for Campervan Rentals
Please note that windshield chip repair and roadside assistance are included with all rentals - regardless of insurance package chosen.

| Bring Your Own Insurance | Renter is responsible for any damages and pays 100% of the damage costs at the time of vehicle return. North Campervans will provide a payment receipt that renter can present to their own insurance for reimbursement. $2 million in 3rd party liability included. Security deposit is set at $5,000. North Campervans is not responsible for confirming whether your personal policy covers your rental. We strongly recommend reviewing your coverage in advance if you’re opting to use your own insurance. Any damages found upon the return of the vehicle will be charged directly to you. Please note that rental insurance rarely covers the van conversion and/or camping gear. Each rental is sent out with up to $20000 worth of equipment/gear/upgrades that you will be responsible for over and above the vehicle itself. |

Terms and Definitions
Collision — pays for the cost of repairing or replacing the vehicle up to the actual cash value if it collides with another vehicle, the ground or other object.
Comprehensive — pays for the cost of repairing or replacing the vehicle up to the actual cash value if damage is caused by other unexpected situations like flying objects, vandalism, fire or theft.
3rd Party Liability — if you cause damage to someone else’s property, injure, maim or kill someone.
Maximum Liability — is the maximum fee you will be responsible for if damages happen as long as damages haven’t occurred as outlined below.
Damages that are not covered by insurance are:
- Damage to roof of vehicle or rooftop tent because of making contact with objects that are too low to travel under.
- Any interior or exterior damage or injury caused by travelling on unmaintained roads or “off-road.”
- Repairs required due to gasoline fuel tank being filled with diesel.
- Damage or injury if operating the vehicle while impaired or while breaking the law.
Breakdowns and Roadside Assistance
In the event of a breakdown (mechanical or internal malfunction) please get in touch with us immediately and we will do our best to get you back on the road as quickly as possible.

Roadside assistance is provided by North Campervans. In the event the vehicle breaks down due to a mechanical failure, please call us. For concerns that are not time sensitive you’re also welcome to reach us at the roadside assistance number on Whatsapp.
You can use Roadside Assistance if:
- You have a question and/or need assistance with utilizing your rental.
- You need to be towed
- You are locked out of your vehicle
- You run out of fuel
- You have a flat or damaged tire
- The starter battery is dead and you need a boost
- Any general questions or concerns about your rental.
Please note that you are required to speak with us before any repairs or changes are made to the vehicle. Any damages or incorrect parts/tires that are installed without our go ahead may result in extra charges.
Security Deposit
The security deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time of pickup and will then be released to you after your rental is over and once the vehicle has been checked-in and no deficiencies are found.
